Wall Tool Organizer
A wall tool organizer is the thing you need either in your garage or basement or workshop or shed to store all of your small hand tools, hobby tools and equipment, and garden tools. The wall tool organizer is the device that keeps all of those implements stored in a single area and laid out on the wall so each tool can not only be easily seen but also readily accessed. When you need to go for a hammer or a broom or small hobby saw or whatever, you go to the wall where you have those tools stored, look up on your handy wall tool organizer to find it, then quickly and easily reach out and grab it. When you are finished using the tool, you simply clean it and do any other routine maintenance on it, then put it back on the wall in your wall tool organizer.

Of course, a wall tool organizer or any organization system for tools is only good and effective to the extent that you actually use it. If you get shelves, peg board, hooks, and racks to put on your wall but you do not put them to use, or you only do so every once in a while, then the utility of such a system to sort and organize and keep track of your manual hand tools will be lost. It's like anything else; you need to develop the habit of using it otherwise you will find that your wall organizer system that clip and hold and allow you hang your tools will not be used for greatest effect. The other thing this does is it allows you to not have your tools, many of which can be dangerous and pose a real hazard to people and pets if they are left out for someone to step on. Nothing worse than stepping on the prongs of a hardened steel garden rake or a hoe or shovel and having the wooden handle swing up fast and whack you in the face.

There are all manner of wall tool organizers, different makes and models from a variety of manufacturers and suppliers. There is a large selection on the market at all different prices depending on what you need. YOu can also get storage boxes with a series of small pull out drawers ideal for fasteners, screws, nails, washers, and so on. And your specifications might call for a storage cabinet or two that can either be hung on the wall if it is small enough, or sit on the floor for the larger models. These have solid or see through doors that can have the option in many cases to be locked for extra security. Factor in durability and strength as well because you want to be sure that the wall tool organizer will be able to support the weight of the tools you put on it. You will get the best deal and the most value if you go for maximum flexibility. This way, you also make the best use of the space on your wall where you will be hanging and storing your tools.

You will need a larger wall space in terms of height to hand and store long handled tools such as spades, shovels, pick axes, lawn and garden rakes, hoes, and the like. Heavy duty hangers that attach to wall studs with screws or bolts will give the best support. You will need more horizontal space for your small hand tools that are not stored in your tool box, like screw drivers, hammers, saws, wrenches, drill bits, tape measures, squares, and the like. You might even want to store coiled up electrical extension cords as well. These can be heavy so plan accordingly. Careful that you do not put the hooks and other holding mechanisms up too high or you will not be able to easily get to the tools you need when you them. This why for small tools like these, wall space height is not as critical, but for storing a lot of tools, the left to right dimension and perhaps a four foot up and down vertical space is more critical, so be sure you have that available before you purchase your wall tool organizer. Ideally, you will place this type of tools organizer on the wall right above your workbench.
